Our OOSHies arrived ready for a big day of outdoor fun with their educators – but little did they know they’d be joined by Newcastle Knights player Phoenix Crossland. The excitement was instant as Phoenix stepped onto the field, kicking off a high‑energy day of sport and connection.
Phoenix led the children through a series of soccer and football drills, sharing tips, demonstrating skills, and offering stories from his professional career. The children were full of questions, and Phoenix was more than happy to chat, encourage, and inspire. It was a rare and meaningful opportunity for our OOSHies to learn from a professional athlete in such a relaxed, friendly environment.
