From exciting incursions and excursions to hands-on crafts, STEM challenges, team games and winter-themed activities, children embraced every opportunity to learn, explore and create lasting memories with friends. Our educators loved seeing children step outside their comfort zones, discover new interests and showcase their unique talents throughout the holiday break.
A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated educators, whose enthusiasm, creativity and commitment ensured each day offered something new and engaging. Their passion for creating meaningful experiences helped make this year’s Winter Vacation Care a memorable one for children and families across all of our services.
Whether children were getting creative, trying something new, solving challenges, building friendships or simply enjoying quality time with their peers, Winter Vacation Care provided something for everyone.
Highlight from Gloucester OOSH
Former Coach of the Australian Women’s Deaf Rugy Team Lisa Vogel joined St Nicholas OOSH Gloucester for a ruby insights day – engaging the children in a series of drills that show them the core skills of the sport and the importance of inclusivity. Despite the rain, children joined in the fun and learnt Auslan signs, skills to last a lifetime.
Lisa’s parting sentiment, “everyone can play rugby”, has certainly inspired our Gloucester OOSH children to step outside their comfort zone and try something new.
