Following an extensive recruitment process that attracted a strong field of applicants, St Nicholas is pleased to announce the appointment of Janîce Francis as our new Head of OOSH.
Janîce brings more than 25 years of experience in early childhood education and care, including 14 years in senior leadership roles with major providers such as The Infants’ Home and Goodstart Early Learning. Most recently, she served as Regional Manager for The Y NSW, where she led 21 OOSH services and more than 200 staff across Sydney, the Central Coast, Newcastle/Hunter and Broken Hill.
In this role, Janîce was responsible for ensuring sustainable service delivery while driving continuous quality improvement. She has a proven track record in service growth and transitions and has built valued partnerships with ACECQA, the NSW Department of Education, and the Australian Education Research Organisation.
Her deep understanding of Child Safe Standards and Reportable Conduct aligns strongly with St Nicholas’ ongoing commitment to providing safe, supportive environments where children can learn, grow, and thrive.
Her wealth of experience and leadership will play a key role in supporting our OOSH services to continue delivering high-quality programs that meet the evolving needs of children, families, and communities.
We are excited to welcome Janîce Francis to the St Nicholas team and look forward to the positive impact she will make as she leads St Nicholas OOSH into its next chapter.
