We are excited to announce that, due to the high level of interest and feedback from families, St Nicholas OOSH Waratah will offer before school care at Corpus Christi Primary School from the beginning of Term 2 this year.
Our Before School Care program provides children with the best possible start to their school day. With breakfast available and through engaging play and leisure experiences, we aim to make their mornings meaningful and enjoyable, setting a positive tone for the day ahead.
Key information regarding before school care at St Nicholas OOSH Waratah is outlined below:
| When | Commencing Tuesday 30 April 2024: St Nicholas OOSH Waratah will offer before school care Monday to Friday from the first day of Term 2 2024. |
| Location | Before school care will operate in the same location as after school care: In the OOSH space attached to the undercroft at Corpus Christi Primary School, Waratah (68 Platt St) |
| Operating hours | Before school care will operate between the hours of 6:30am – 8:30am, Monday to Friday.
Whilst before school care ends at 8:30am, the playground at Corpus Christi Primary School is fully supervised from this time until school formally commences at 8:50am. At 8:30am during the first week of before school care, kindergarten children will be walked by a friendly St Nicholas OOSH team member from the hall where OOSH operates to the kindergarten classroom, to support them to place their bags away, and then ensure they move to the part of the playground that is supervised. |
| Staffing | The staff who will work in before school care are familiar faces to both children and families at the service. Our dedicated team members are committed to providing a safe, caring and enriching environment for your child to flourish. |
| Enrolment | For families who are already part of our community, you can now request bookings for before school care through the Xplor app from today.

| Fees, direct debits and Child Care Subsidy | Fees for before school care will be:
Direct debit payments will be deducted in accordance with your agreed schedule frequency. Statements of accounts will be provided fortnightly. Enrolment with St Nicholas OOSH must be confirmed with Centrelink for eligible families to receive the Child Care Subsidy (CCS). The full fee will be showing as payable until this is completed. |
| Meals | Breakfast will be available to all children who attend before school care.
The service’s breakfast menu will include a variety of nutritious options such as fruits, cereals, breads and juices, ensuring that your child starts their day on the right foot. |
