Our OOSHies’ Autumn Vacation Care Highlights

From STEM challenges to creative projects and action‑packed recreation, every day brought something new to discover. Here’s a look at some of the highlights from our services:

Fighter World Excursion – St Nicholas OOSH Morisset visited Fighter World, a museum showcasing aviation history and decommissioned aircraft. Our OOSHies experienced the aircraft first-hand, jumping into the pilot’s chair and watching the active runway outside.
Bricks 4 Kidz – St Nicholas OOSH New Lambton joined the Bricks 4 Kids team for a hands-on LEGO building experience featuring creative design and electronic builds. Our OOSHies used battery packs to bring their LEGO creations to live through motion.
Ninja Parc Excursion – St Nicholas OOSH Rutherford tackled the challenges of Ninja Parc, climbing, jumping, and weaving their way through a range of exciting obstacle courses designed to test balance, strength, and teamwork.
Tie Day in-service experience – St Nicholas OOSH Gloucester unleashed their creativity with a colourful tie‑dye session. Using safe inks and a variety of techniques, OOSHies transformed plain white fabrics into vibrant patterned masterpieces.
Spa Day – St Nicholas OOSH Lochinvar wrapped up the autumn holidays with a calming spa‑themed day. OOSHies enjoyed a selection of wellbeing and self‑care activities designed to help them relax and recharge.
Drumming workshop – St Nicholas OOSH Branxton got into the rhythm during a lively drumming workshop. OOSHies learned about beat, tone, and musical expression while coming together to create energetic group rhythms.
Baking Day – St Nicholas OOSH Chisholm baked up a storm, working alongside educators to practise their culinary skills. The result: delicious homemade muffins enjoyed as a well‑earned afternoon treat.
Rocket Masterclass – St Nicholas OOSH East Maitland blasted into space‑themed learning with a rocket masterclass. OOSHies explored the science of gravity and propulsion as they designed and built their very own rockets.
Pickle Ball Tournament – St Nicholas OOSH Glendale hit the courts for an action‑packed Pickleball Tournament. It was a fantastic day of friendly competition, outdoor fun, and active play with friends.
Dullboys Excursion – An OOSHie favourite, St Nicholas OOSH Kotara spent the day at Dullboys, enjoying bowling lanes and arcade challenges. From celebrating strikes to mastering new games, our OOSHies loved every moment of this high‑energy outing.
