National Out of School Hours Care Educators’ Day was held [on Wednesday 31 August] and the Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle celebrated at their St Nicholas OOSH services by presenting educators with a planner, Indigenous artwork and some sweet treats.

Children and families were also invited to write on a card which was given to each service, highlighting their appreciation and gratitude for their educators.

David Healy, Executive Director St Nicholas said the day was important to give back and celebrate educators.

“The impact that they have in the lives of not only children, but parents and carers too,” he said.

“Their hard work and dedication to supporting children as they play, explore and be creative is paramount to the success of our centres,” he said.
