Water play isn’t just a popular activity for children in early childhood settings. It also enhances their creativity and imagination, promotes good health and wellbeing, and provides opportunities for explorative learning.
The Floorbooks Approach is designed to create a balance between intentional teaching and child autonomy. Floorbooks allow educators to consult deeply with children during the planning and documentation process.
At St Nicholas, our educators utilise a child-centred, play-based and Reggio Emilia-influenced approach to our program, the latter of which was founded by Loris Malaguzzi, an early childhood educator and philosopher.
