Building a jar of dreams

Nominated Supervisors from across St Nicholas OOSH came together to create a vision of success and a path for growth during 2025 by creating their “Big Jar of Dreams”.

7

The “Big Jar of Dreams” fosters a space of reflection, growth and recognition as Nominated Supervisors commit to professional development goals for themselves and their service. During each professional development session throughout 2025, they will reflect on their progress, find key learnings, perhaps add new goals and celebrate their achievements.

In partaking in this journey, our leaders are challenging themselves to step outside their comfort zones and grow. This tailored session provided inspiration in different pedagogy styles and concepts that allow each leader to shape their approach to learning and care. This journey is based in self-discovery unpacking each individuals strengths, talents and areas of interests. To support this reflective practice, our leaders have started a reflective artwork that will visually show their story of growth throughout the year including all of the pivotal moments.

St Nicholas’ Pedagogy and Area Service Manager Teams faciliated this kick-off professional development session. Their vision is to inspire and support St Nicholas OOSH’s leaders to continue to grow in their pedagogy. This not only encourages personal professional growth but it also expands each leaders outlook on the care they offer to the children, families and educators of their OOSH community.
