In 2022, St Nicholas began a journey to enhance our offering to our team members. This journey commenced with insights collected from our first-ever all staff engagement survey.

In response to these insights, St Nicholas initiated a comprehensive review process involving insightful consultations and strategic planning. The result was a robust framework that not only acknowledges the exceptional contributions of our educators but also aligns with our vision for creating a supportive environment for educators to flourish, underscored by our ‘Commitment to Educators’ statement.

What it means for our educators

We’re excited to share that the introduction of this statement forms the foundation of a series of enhancements to our employee experience. Some of these enhancements have already been implemented, including:

  • Increased Child Care Discount – Supporting our team members and their families by increasing our child care discount to 50%.
  • Referral Incentive Program – Encouraging our team members to help us recruit talented individuals by rewarding successful referrals with rewards of $1,000 ($1,500 for eligible positions).
  • Revamped Professional Learning Programs – Investing in your professional development by offering enhanced learning opportunities through our 2024 Professional Learning Calendar.
  • Support Office Structure – Focusing our Support Office structure into five key areas–Operations, Quality Assurance, Staffing, Professional Learning, and Projects–to strengthen leadership and support for our team members.
  • Team Update – Introducing initiatives such as the Team Update (newsletter) to enhance and streamline communication with team members.

We are excited to build on our suite of offerings to our valued team members in 2024. Together, we will continue to create an environment where every team member receives the support they need to flourish.
