About our Nursery program
The first two years of life are full of growth,
discovery, and new experiences. Our Nursery
program provides a safe, calm and nurturing
environment where each baby is supported to
feel secure, curious, and capable. Grounded
in the Early Years Learning Framework, our
program encourages development through
meaningful relationships, responsive routines,
and age-appropriate play.
How babies learn
Our educators support each child’s development by:
- Building strong, trusting bonds with each baby
- Providing sensory-rich play using light, music, movement and textures
- Encouraging early motor skills through safe, supervised floor time
- Responding to cues and communications to support each child’s agency
- Creating consistent, comforting routines that foster security
Your child’s day
Your baby’s day is guided by their unique rhythm and needs. This may include:
- Flexible feeding and rest times
- Gentle interactions with their key educator
- Tummy time, sensory play, and movement
- Books, music, and storytelling
- Indoor and outdoor exploration in age-appropriate spaces
- Calm, caring transitions between each part of the day
We are committed to providing updates on your child’s learning and encourage open communication between families and educators.

Submitting an enrolment request or enquiry does not constitute a confirmed enrolment or booking. No enrolment or booking is confirmed until you have received confirmation from St Nicholas.

For casual and Vacation Care bookings, we have a 5-day cancellation policy, after which the parent/carer will be liable for their full fees for that session. For permanent bookings, we have a 2-week cancellation policy.

One-off cancellations for permanent bookings still require the parent/carer to pay their full fees for that session, unless the cancellation is permanent, in which case the family will forfeit their permanent place for that session.
