The Pyjama Foundation
Designed to bridge the educational gap that many foster children face, The Pyjama Foundation’s Love of Learning program connects volunteer mentors called “Pyjama Angels” with children in foster care weekly to help with reading, writing, and educational play, fostering a love of learning and boosting their academic skills. These volunteers play a crucial role in allowing each child to find their feet and reach their potential despite a fragile start through their consistent and caring presence.
On top of this, the foundation provides resources to foster families, raises awareness about the challenges faced by children in foster care, and advocates for better support systems.

Our commitment
As an organisation that strives to foster a lifelong love and commitment to learning, our St Nicholas Early Education communities rallied together to raise crucial funds and awareness for The Pyjama Foundation as part of National Pyjama Week.
The event was a huge success, with educators and children across our network of centres getting involved and showing their support by dressing down in their favourite pj’s.
Spending the day engaging in enriching educational experiences that echoed the Love of Learning Program initiatives, our learners focused on their gross and fine motor development, as well as their numeracy and literacy learning. Activities included storytelling sessions, interactive games, and creative projects that filled the day with laughter, learning, and a shared sense of purpose, highlighting the positive impact that collective efforts can have.
The success of this fundraising event is a testament to the strength and compassion of our community. By working together, we can make a significant difference in the lives of foster children, providing them with the tools and support they need to succeed. We are proud to support The Pyjama Foundation and look forward to continuing our partnership to help foster children reach their full potential.
