May Professional Learning Update 2024 from Erica Wilkinson

The learning hasn’t stopped at St Nicholas Pathways! Erica Wilkinson touches on the first few months of professional learning in 2024.

Earlier in the year St Nicholas Pathways launched our Professional Learning Calendar, offering some valuable learning and development opportunities for our team members. We have been bustling with enthusiasm coming off the back of some fabulous initial sessions!

One of the highlights has been our Aesthetics and Risk Workshop, where we had 45 team members from across our Early Education and OOSH teams come together to participate in a hands-on workshop unpacking the art of balancing engaging and aesthetically pleasing elements with calculated risk in the learning environment.

We have welcomed some inspirational guests, including Ella de la Motte and Garret Norris to host tailored workshops for our Early Education Centre Directors, helping them to expand their horizons in being effective, adaptive, and creative leaders.

I’d like to thank our educators for taking time out of their busy schedules to commit to additional professional learning opportunities. It has been fantastic to see them implement their takeaways, especially the learnings from the Aesthetics and Risk Workshop. Learning is at the heart of everything we do at Pathways and receiving such a positive response to our Professional Learning Calendar truly shows the passion we have in our teams. We have more courses available in May and June. I encourage you to check these out and register below.

There is a much anticipated second Professional Learning Calendar on the way and I am so excited to see our teams jump into new workshops and tick off more learning goals. I’d like to thank my team for all of their efforts in ensuring that our educators experience a professional, seamless, and inspiring learning experience.

In addition to our professional learning activities, I will be attending some upcoming Career Expo’s alongside some of our St Nicholas team, where we are hoping to connect with the next generation of early childhood and OOSH educators.

The Pathways team is looking forward to the next few months of learning, growing, and networking!
