June 2023 update from Erica Wilkinson, Pathways Business Manager

Erica delivers an exciting Pathways update, highlighting the recruitment of the 2024 SBAT cohort, the expansion of the Immersion program, and changes within the Pathways team.

As June draws to a close, it’s hard to believe that our SBAT recruitment is already upon us. The Pathways team has been busier than ever, with a successful first term of Immersion programs under our belt. A remarkable ten programs have already been conducted, and we are thrilled to announce that over 130 students have eagerly participated, filling up next term’s roster. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our Newcastle West, Medowie and Muswellbrook Early Education teams for their unwavering support in hosting local high school students and our dedicated training team.

Mark your calendars! SBAT information sessions will take place in late July, followed by the opening of applications throughout August. We’re brimming with excitement to meet and hear the stories of all the talented applicants who are about to embark on this transformative journey.

In the spirit of new beginnings, we would like to wish Tamara all the best for her upcoming maternity leave. We eagerly anticipate the arrival of her little bundle of joy and send our warmest wishes her way.

Additionally, we are thrilled to introduce two new members who have joined our dynamic team. Keely, a valuable addition to our administration, will be available at Pathways on Tuesdays through Thursdays. We are also delighted to welcome Jess, known for her role as an Ed Leader at our Gillieston Heights Early Education centre, who has joined our esteemed training team. Excitingly, we are currently in the process of recruiting more exceptional individuals and we look forward to introducing them in the upcoming months.

With a whirlwind of activities and new faces, Pathways continues to thrive, fueling ambitions and empowering countless individuals along their unique paths to success.
