Four reasons why we love our families

Families are the microcosm of a child’s world, providing the foundation of love, values, beliefs, interests and virtues of a child.

National Families Week, is a unique opportunity to celebrate the role that families play in our communities and to concurrently celebrate their role in teaching, supporting and nurturing children as they learn and grow.

This year, National Families Week is about ‘lending a hand to thrive’, highlighting the importance of connection, care and resilience within families.

At St Nick’s, we love our families because they:

Provide foundational support

In partnering with families, St Nicholas values the ability to create a cohesive and tailored learning pathway for each child in our care. It enables educators to foster a strong link between home and care that ensures positive outcomes for each child.

Bring diverse cultural and moral values

Families bring a rich tapestry of diverse cultural and moral values to St Nick’s. This diversity enriches our community and fosters an environment of inclusivity and mutual respect. Sharing these values, enables the development and engagement with a vibrant and dynamic learning environment that shapes each of our learners into becoming worldly citizens.

Are our partners in each child’s education

Being involved and collaborating with families is crucial to the success of our educational programs. Working hand-in-hand with our families ensures that each child in our care receives the best possible education and support throughout their learning journey.

Support our communities to flourish

Through dedicated support and involvement in their children’s education and care, families create a supportive network that benefits everyone. We are grateful for the unwavering support of our families and the positive impacts they have on our communities.

Families are the heart of St Nicholas because of the vital role that they play within our community. Thank you to each of our families for being an integral pack of the St Nick’s experience, helping us to foster nurturing and supportive environments to allow the children in our care to flourish.
