Early Education

Community in action

On the last weekend of August, St Nicholas Early Education Fletcher’s families came together for a working bee, rolling up their sleeves to refresh and revitalise their centre’s community garden.

With tools in hand, families worked alongside team members to tidy, clear and refresh the community garden space. Ready for a new season of exploration, these spaces are more than just an area to play, they are a living learning environment where children can connect to nature, discover sustainability and experience the joy of hands-on learning.

A reflection of values

This working bee is a beautiful reflection of the centre’s philosophy – education is a shared journey. By inviting and involving families in the development of the learning environment, our Fletcher team is strengthening the bond between home and early education for attending children. This aids children in feeling supported, connected and confident.

When families come together like this, they’re not just helping maintain a space – they’re helping build a thriving, cohesive learning community. One where children see collaboration in action, and where every contribution helps shape the environment they grow in.

St Nicholas Early Education is thankful to our Fletcher families for dedicating time to help our St Nicholas Early Education Fletcher team continue to create a nurturing place for each child to learn, play and grow.
