Blessing of the Foundations at St Nicholas Early Education Kotara South

We are excited to share a special milestone in the journey of our newest centre—St Nicholas Early Education Kotara South.

Recently, Father Joseph Figurado, Parish Priest of All Saints’ Blackbutt South, led a blessing of the site’s foundations, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for early education in the area.

Be sure to check out the gallery below, capturing this meaningful moment as we lay the groundwork for a space that will soon welcome and support local families.

Joining Father Joseph for the blessing ceremony were several key leaders from St Nicholas and St James’ Primary School, including Jacinta Gillies (St Nicholas’ Executive Manager – Operations), Jaclyn Mosher (St Nicholas’ Executive Manager – Strategic Projects), Sonya Boslem (Principal, St James’ Primary School), and Deb Petersen (Assistant Principal, St James’ Primary School).

The new 79-place centre, co-located with St James’ Primary School, is set to open in 2025 and will provide families with a supportive and nurturing environment for children aged 0-5.

We look forward to seeing our vision for St Nicholas Early Education Kotara South come to life and are grateful for the support of our partners and the community as we embark on this exciting journey. The completed centre will be formally blessed by Bishop Michael Kennedy following its completion.

Stay tuned for more updates as we move closer to the centre’s opening.
