Our Lochinvar friends are working towards creating a kindness culture with supportive resources so our learners and educators can support a friend in need.

Together, they created an array of experiences and spaces to provide support and comfort to one another.

The Kindness Chair

The kindness chair is a place to sit if you need a friend to play with. Amongst a relaxing and inviting space, it gives our learners a simple tool to ask for support and know when support is needed amongst their friends.

Tips and advice

Through listening to the stories ‘The Rainbow Fish’ and ‘How to be a Friend’, our learners picked up some helpful tips on how they engage with their fellow learners in meaningful ways.

All About Me poster

Each of our learners created an ‘All about me’ poster that cherishes their individuality. It is a perfect resource for helping our learners form stronger bonds and discover the amazing characteristics of their friends.

Group Artwork

Together our learners and educators created personalised artwork, which they have placed on display throughout their learning spaces. These pieces add colour and a personal touch that allows our learners to feel a sense of ownership in the environments they learn and play in.

Random Acts of Kindness

Who doesn’t love a bit of homemade cake for morning tea? Our learners prepared a delicious cake and personally delivered it to each of their educators as a small gesture to say thank you for everything that they do.

Each of these creations will go a long way in helping our learners to not only show support to someone in need but also in building the courage to ask for support from a friend.
