FAQs

  • How do I know if I’m booked in for Vacation Care?

    When you submit a Vacation Care booking through the St Nicholas App, the booking is confirmed immediately if places are available and your account is in good standing.

    You can view your confirmed days anytime in the Bookings section of the app.

  • How do I change or cancel my booking?

    To change or cancel a Vacation Care booking:

    1. Open the St Nicholas App
    2. Navigate to Bookings
    3. Select the Vacation Care day you wish to change or cancel
    4. Follow the prompts to update your booking

    Please note, our cancellation policy requires notice of five (5) business days for cancellation of Vacation Care bookings. If you cancel within 5 business days of your booking, you will be charged the full rate.

  • Why do I need to sign an excursion authority form for every excursion my child attends?

    For any excursion outside the service, we are required under education and care regulations to obtain written authorisation from a parent or guardian for each individual excursion.

    When you book your child into a Vacation Care day that includes an excursion, the St Nicholas App will automatically prompt you to complete the excursion authority form before the booking can be finalised. This ensures we have the required permission for your child to attend that specific excursion.

    The form outlines key details including:

    • where the children are going
    • how they will travel
    • supervision arrangements

    Once the form has been completed in the app, your booking for that excursion will be automatically confirmed.

  • My service is not offering Vacation Care these school holidays. What do I do?

    If your usual service is not operating Vacation Care during a particular school holiday period, you may be able to attend another nearby St Nicholas OOSH service that is offering a program.

    To do this, you can submit an enrolment request for the alternative service. Once this is completed, you will be able to make Vacation Care bookings through the St Nicholas App.

  • When do Vacation Care bookings open?

    Vacation Care bookings typically open several weeks before the school holidays. Enrolled families will be notified first through the St Nicholas App and email when bookings are available.

  • Why can’t I make a booking?

    If you are unable to book through the app, it may be because:

    • the day is already full
    • your account has outstanding fees
    • there is a hold on your account

    If you are unsure, please contact your service for assistance.

  • What happens if Vacation Care is fully booked?

    If a day reaches capacity, bookings will no longer be available through the app, however you may join the waitlist for that day if you wish.

    You can also check nearby St Nicholas OOSH services that may have availability.

  • How do I know which days have excursions?

    Excursions and special experiences are listed in the Vacation Care program, which is shared with families before bookings open.

  • Who can I contact if I have questions about Vacation Care?
