Reading is Magic

Children’s Book Week celebrates Australian children’s literature and its ability to provide readers with education, enjoyment, and enlightenment. Across Australia, children, educators, families, and carers are invited to participate between 17 and 23 August 2024.

This year’s theme is ‘Reading is Magic’, a sentiment to those who nurture children’s passion for and enjoyment of reading, and a celebration of how reading can transport our minds and provoke conversations through storytelling.

As storytelling takes us on journeys, it also can give us memorable and relatable characters that help shape our understanding of the world around us.
