The certificate presented to the centre states that the menu has been reviewed against NSW Health – Good for Kids’ Caring for Children Guidelines.

In celebration of their achievement, Newcastle West’s menu will be featured in Hunter New England Health’s first newsletter of the year, which is shared with all early education services across the Newcastle and Hunter region.

Regarding the centre’s menu, a representative from Hunter New England Health said, “The centre’s menu has an excellent variety of colours and textures. It includes lots of vegetables, fruits, wholegrains, meats and alternatives, and dairy foods every day. Carl, the centre’s cook (who is also a trained chef), is passionate about the health and wellbeing of children.”

Congratulations Team Newcastle West, and especially Chef Carl!
