St Nicholas Early Education Medowie is a 104-place early education and care centre set amongst some of Port Stephens’ most beautiful bushlands – the perfect place for children to play, explore, and develop a lifelong love of learning.
Our Medowie childcare centre’s learning environments are among the best in the region, featuring warm and inviting playrooms, large sandstone sandpits, bicycle tracks, vegetable gardens, tepees, and much more. These spaces are designed to inspire children and support their development through structured learning experiences.
St Nicholas Early Education Medowie commenced operations in 2021 as part of the first stage of a comprehensive educational precinct. This precinct will soon include an early education centre, primary school (Catherine McAuley Primary School – coming soon), and secondary school (Catherine McAuley Catholic College).
As part of the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle, St Nicholas Medowie offers families a connected educational pathway with priority enrolment at nearby Catholic schools, including Catherine McAuley Primary School, Medowie (coming soon), and St Brigid’s Primary School, Raymond Terrace. Our highly regarded Transition to School program ensures that preschool-aged children are supported in their transition to primary school, focusing on developing basic skills, emotional resilience, and social connections.
Our Medowie centre offers its services to all families in the Port Stephens community, including Williamtown RAAF families, creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for every child’s journey in early childhood education.
Start by completing our enrolment expression of interest form. Once submitted, a member of our Medowie team will contact you to guide you through the enrolment process and answer any questions you may have.
Our preschool program follows the Early Years Learning Framework, just like a community preschool, ensuring a strong foundation for children’s development. We deliver the highest quality early education experience, combining tailored learning opportunities, experienced educators, and state-of-the-art facilities to prepare children for a seamless transition to primary school.
Our Medowie childcare centre provides care and education for children aged eight weeks to five years, including nursery, toddler, and preschool-aged children.
Our centre nurtures every child’s unique potential through personalised learning programs, a focus on holistic development, and opportunities to build confidence, independence, and essential social skills in a supportive and engaging environment.
Yes, we assist families in navigating the Child Care Subsidy process to help make early education more affordable and accessible for our community.
